3xper Innoventure is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Sales & Business Development (API) to lead and grow our domestic API generic business, with added exposure to emerging international markets. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of the Indian API market, strong relationships with Indian distributors and generic formulation companies, and regulatory knowledge of API registrations. Experience in Rest of World (RoW) markets, including APAC and MENA regions, will be considered a strong advantage.This role carries sales and customer relations ownership, requiring hands-on leadership in market development, customer engagement, product portfolio strategy, and regulatory awarenessKey Responsibilities: Drive the strategy, and growth of the API business unit. Lead business development and sales for APIs in India, and support outreach in select APAC and MENA markets as relevant. Full sales responsibility for the domestic business – including budgeting, sales forecasting, customer relationships, and revenue recognition. Build and manage strong relationships with Indian distributors, generic companies, and key buyers. Identify and develop new product opportunities aligned with market needs. Collaborate with internal teams on regulatory filings, product registrations, and technical support. Provide market intelligence on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Drive customer satisfaction and long-term account value through strategic relationship management. Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings domestically and internationally (as required). Candidate Profile: Experience & Background: 6–10 years of relevant experience in Pharma API Sales & Marketing, specifically in generic APIs. Strong experience in the Indian domestic market is mandatory. Exposure to ROW markets like APAC and MENA will be a definite advantage. Strong customer network within the Indian pharmaceutical industry, especially with distributors and formulation companies. Familiarity with API product life cycle, regulatory filings, and dossier handling. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science / Pharmacy / Chemistry or related field. MBA in Sales/Marketing or equivalent – preferred but not mandatory. Skills & Attributes: Proven track record in business development and strategic account management. Strong understanding of API regulatory frameworks (India and emerging markets). Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-driven attitude. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong execution capability, with attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Nice to Have: Experience working with CDMO / CRAMS business models. Insight into therapeutic trends and blockbuster APIs. Familiarity with pricing strategies, supply chain models, and contract manufacturing setups.
