Job Title: Head - Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR)Location: Chennai, IndiaJob Overview:The Head of Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing the organization's CSR initiatives across all business verticals, including education, healthcare, media, and technology. This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate CSR into the business strategy, enhance the company’s social impact, and ensure regulatory compliance. The CSR Head will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create sustainable programs that align with the group’s mission and values while making a measurable difference in society.Key Responsibilities:CSR Strategy & Policy Development:- Develop and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the organization's mission, values, and business objectives. - Formulate policies and frameworks for sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. - Ensure CSR initiatives are aligned with national and international sustainability goals, including UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Program Development & Implementation:- Conceptualize and execute high-impact CSR programs in areas such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and social development. - Collaborate with various departments to integrate CSR into business operations and decision-making processes. - Establish and manage partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, academic institutions, and industry bodies to enhance the impact of CSR initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement & Communications:- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including leadership, employees, and business units, to foster a culture of social responsibility. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, media, and community organizations. - Oversee CSR-related communication efforts, including annual CSR reports, sustainability disclosures, and media campaigns.Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives:- Drive sustainability initiatives such as waste management, renewable energy adoption, carbon footprint reduction, and green campus development. - Implement best practices in environmental responsibility across company operations. - Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics.Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:- Ensure compliance with CSR-related regulations, including the Companies Act, CSR mandates, and other legal frameworks. - Prepare and present CSR reports to the board, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders. - Maintain accurate records of CSR activities, budgets, and impact assessments.Employee Engagement & Volunteering Programs:- Develop and promote employee volunteering initiatives that align with CSR objectives. - Foster a culture of corporate philanthropy and social engagement among employees. - Organize workshops, awareness programs, and training sessions on CSR and sustainability.Key Qualifications & Skills:- 15+ years of experience in CSR, sustainability, corporate philanthropy, or social impact roles. - Strong understanding of CSR laws, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability best practices. - Experience in designing and implementing large-scale CSR programs with measurable impact. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at the executive level. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in impact assessment and reporting. - Passion for social change, sustainability, and community development
