Plan and prioritize shipments to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Coordinate with global suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely dispatches. Negotiate shipping terms (Incoterms), freight costs, and delivery timelines. Ensure accurate and timely preparation and verification of import documents: invoices, packing lists, COO (Certificate of Origin) , BL/AWB, etc. Liaise with CHA (Customs House Agents) for smooth customs clearance and filing of BOEs. Ensure compliance with Indian Customs, DGFT, and EXIM policies. Monitor shipment movement from origin to destination & coordinate for inland transportation from port to factory or warehouse. Ensure on-time and damage-free delivery of shipments. Monitor and optimize landed cost of imported materials. Track duties, demurrage, and other incidental charges. Identify opportunities for cost savings through duty benefits or logistics improvements. Record all import transactions in ERP systems. Maintain comprehensive records for audit and compliance purposes. Work closely with Finance for payments, duty processing, and LC management. Coordinate with Stores and Quality for incoming material checks and approvals.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in managing imports, preferably in manufacturing (semiconductor/electronics is a plus). Deep knowledge of Indian customs regulations, EXIM policies, INCOTERMS, and DGFT documentation. Proficiency in ERP tools and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
