About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fabric Sourcing Specialist to manage and develop our woven fabric supply base. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality woven materials that align with the brand’s aesthetic, quality standards, and sustainability goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.Key Responsibilities:Identify, develop, and manage a reliable network of woven fabric suppliers globally.Source a wide range of woven fabrics (e.g., cotton, linen, denim, twill, poplin, wool blends) as per design and production needs.Collaborate with design, product development, and production teams to understand fabric requirements and ensure alignment with seasonal collections.Negotiate pricing, lead times, and minimums with suppliers to achieve target costs without compromising quality.Conduct supplier audits and fabric mill evaluations to ensure compliance with ethical, environmental, and quality standards.Manage fabric development from concept to bulk production, including lab dips, handlooms, strike-offs, and bulk approvals.Maintain updated knowledge of trends, innovations, and sustainability practices in woven textiles.Monitor fabric testing, certification, and compliance documentation.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve any sourcing issues promptly.Work closely with logistics and planning teams to ensure timely fabric deliveries.Maintain fabric libraries, tracking performance, lead times, and cost history.Key Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. • 3+ years of fabric sourcing experience with a strong focus on woven fabrics. • Excellent knowledge of woven fabric constructions, finishes, and performance properties. • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. • Proficiency in fabric costing, technical specifications, and sustainable material sourcing. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Knowledge of fabric testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) and certification processes. • Experience with PLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Share CV at – sivalingam.rj@.
