Job Title: Freelance Accounts AssistantJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support the finance department in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Accounts team to ensure the smooth functioning of the accounting processes and support in the preparation of financial reports.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.• Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.• Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and petty cash.• Maintain and update accounting databases and systems.• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.• Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.• Process payroll and ensure accurate deductions.• Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding accounts-related inquiries.• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.• Perform any other administrative or accounting-related tasks as required.Requirements:• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.• Previous experience in accounting or finance.• Knowledge of accounting software.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.• Excellent organisational and time management skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.Preferred Skills:• Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.This position is ideal for an individual looking to develop their career in accounting within a dynamic and growing organization.
