This role requires the intern to be available for 3 rotational shifts.Paid Internship.Locations: Patan, Gujarat, INMahesana, Gujarat, INOde, Anand, Gujarat, INFreshers are welcome to applyOverall Responsibilities:Coordinate the on-shift operations of new and proprietary semen cell processing technology. Perform analysis, sample preparation, processing, packaging and quality control of bovine semen.Specific Accountabilities:· Ability to coordinate day to day shift activities among a small team.· Exhibit effective communication skills.· Exhibit detail-oriented skills to track samples and document processes.· Set up, operate, and monitor semi-automated systems for biotechnology production.· Operate, care for, and maintain standard lab equipment such as microscope, pH meter, pipettes, centrifuge, etc.· Operate, care for, and maintain unique lab equipment such as auto-diluter, straw filler/sealer, straw printer, straw freezer, etc.· Accurately produce proprietary media for production.· Anticipate potential problems and take preventative action. Requires judgment to know when it is necessary to consult with supervisor and/or support groups.· Work with co-workers and supervisor to effectively troubleshoot equipment and process issues.· Understand how own actions impact others and the final product and use this information in effective decision-making.· Assure accurate and objective sample processing, including analysis of cell motility and morphology.· Packaging and freezing of semen straws.· Quality control assessment of frozen semen.· Maintain correct identification of samples, collection records and database entries.· Clean dishes and operate autoclave.· Promote and maintain clean, organized work areas.· Comply with safety requirements, SOP and manufacturing documentation.· Display willingness to perform non-routine tasks as needed to ensure overall productivity is high.· Consistently seek out more efficient and productive ways to handle tasks within the labs.Qualifications and Experience:· BSc (Biotech/Micro-Biology) / MSc (Biotech/Micro-Biology).· Post-High School education in a production or laboratory trade program preferred.· Biotech certificate preferred· Excellent manual dexterity· Strong attention to detail and respect for quality assurance and production· Strong math skills
