This is a full-time remote role ideal for an engineer who excels in mechanical design and engine dynamics, and brings additional expertise in Multibody Dynamics (MBD) simulation.Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your deep understanding of IC engine components to contribute to the development and optimization of advanced thermal energy systems. These systems integrate heating, cooling, and hot water functionalities into a single unit, utilizing a patented thermodynamic cycle and environmentally friendly working fluids to achieve exceptional energy efficiency and sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesIC Engine Component ExpertiseApply in-depth knowledge of pistons, crankshafts, and connecting rods to inform the design of thermal energy systems.Optimize mechanical components for durability, manufacturability, weight, and thermal performance.Develop high-fidelity CAD models and detailed production drawings.Simulation & AnalysisPerform static, thermal, and fatigue analysis of mechanical parts using FEA tools.Apply MBD simulation (e.g., MSC Adams, ANSYS Motion) to analyze:Dynamic behavior of mechanical assembliesVibration and noise characteristicsLoad distribution and stress pointsInterpret simulation results to refine designs and improve reliability.Materials & ManufacturingSelect appropriate materials and coatings for high-load applications.Support development for manufacturing and machining processes.Integration & TestingCollaborate with testing teams to validate components under real-world loads.Analyze test data to correlate simulation and physical results.Iterate design based on test feedback and performance requirements.Technical Leadership & DocumentationMentor junior engineers in mechanical design best practices.Create detailed technical reports and maintain design documentation.Qualifications10+ years of experience in IC engine design, specifically pistons and crankshafts.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.Strong understanding of engine kinematics, dynamics, and thermodynamics.Proficient in CAD - SolidWorks and FEA toolsHands-on experience in MBD simulation (MSC Adams or ANSYS Motion) is a strong plus.Experience in interpreting test data, fatigue analysis, and real-world validation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Why Join Mechapixel?At Mechapixel, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning.
