Job Title: Head – Service & Parts (Heavy Equipment)Location: Kathmandu, NepalIndustry: Heavy Equipment Position OverviewThe Head – Service & Parts is responsible for overseeing the entire after-sales service operations, including service and spare parts management, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business profitability. The role demands deep technical knowledge of heavy equipment, strong leadership skills, and experience managing service and parts teams across multiple locations in Nepal.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and implement service & parts business strategy aligned with company goals.Forecast service and parts revenue, budgets, and resource requirements.Plan and execute initiatives to improve customer retention and satisfaction.2. Service Operations ManagementOversee all service centers and field operations across Nepal.Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, breakdowns, and warranty claims.Monitor equipment performance and ensure service KPIs (TAT, MTTR, MTBF, etc.) are met.Implement preventive maintenance programs for customers.3. Parts ManagementManage spare parts inventory, procurement planning, and stock optimization.Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts.Ensure correct pricing, stock rotation, and parts availability for field teams and workshops.4. Team LeadershipLead and mentor a team of service engineers, technicians, and parts officers.Conduct regular performance reviews, skill assessments, and training programs.Establish a customer-first culture within the service & parts team.5. Customer Relationship ManagementAct as a key contact for VIP/large customers for service & parts support.Ensure consistent high-quality after-sales support to build strong client relationships.Gather customer feedback and work with cross-functional teams to improve products and services.6. Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.Maintain documentation and records related to service jobs, warranties, and part transactions.Provide regular reports and MIS to senior management on performance, trends, and challenges.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Heavy Equipment Industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Proven experience in managing service operations and parts business in Nepal.Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.).Excellent leadership, communication, and customer handling skills.Proficient in ERP systems, service CRM tools, and MS Office.Key Skills RequiredStrategic PlanningService & Parts ManagementInventory ControlTeam LeadershipBudgeting & Cost OptimizationCustomer Relationship ManagementTechnical Expertise in Heavy EquipmentAnalytical and Problem-Solving SkillsPreferred AttributesStrong network within the heavy equipment ecosystem in Nepal.Experience in multi-brand service handling will be an added advantage.Fluency in Nepali and English (spoken and written).
