Responsibilities: Optimize Workloads:Efficiently manage and optimize database workloads to ensure peak performance and cost-effectiveness. Performance Capacity Issues:Identify and resolve performance capacity issues to maintain optimal database functionality. Migration:Oversee and complete database migration projects, with a significant migration scheduled for completion by September 2024, involving 100-200 databases. Customer Interface:Maintain strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers and understand their needs and requirements. Required Skills and Experience: SQL Expertise:Minimum of 7 years of experience in SQL database administration. AWS Experience:1-1.5 years of experience working with AWS, particularly AWS RDS. SQL Technologies:Proficiency in SQL technologies, including Always On availability groups. Query Optimization:Expertise in query optimization to enhance database performance. Database Design:Strong skills in database design to ensure efficient and scalable database structures. Backup and Recovery:Comprehensive knowledge of backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Compensation This position is targeting candidates at an hourly rate between $20-$23 USD per hour.
