Job Description

The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) is responsible for overseeing sales operations in a defined geographical zone. The role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a team of Territory/Area Sales Managers, achieving sales targets, expanding customer base, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ZSM acts as a vital link between the field sales team and the company’s leadership.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned zone. - Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives. - Achieve zonal sales targets and KPIs in line with company goals. - Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize effectiveness. - Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners. - Expand market presence and drive new business development initiatives. - Conduct regular market visits to understand competitor activity, customer needs, and team performance. - Provide timely and accurate sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. - Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and regulatory requirements. - Train and support the field team to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). - 7–10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. - Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. - Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions. - Willingness to travel extensively within the zone.
