IBDP Spanish Teacher Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experiencedIBDP Spanish Teacherto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Spanish for theInternational Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) , fostering a deep understanding of the language and culture while preparing students for IB assessments. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with theIBDP Language B or Ab Initio curriculum . Develop students’ language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. Foster an appreciation of Hispanic cultures through literature, media, and authentic resources. Prepare students forinternal and external IB assessments , including Individual Oral Assessments and Written Assignments. Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying language proficiency levels. IntegrateIB Learner Profile attributesinto classroom teaching. Assess, record, and report on student progress according to IB and school guidelines. Provideacademic support and guidanceto students, including after-school or extracurricular activities. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum content and instructional strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge ofIB curriculum changes and best teaching practices . Participate in school meetings, professional development, and IB training sessions as required. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degreein Spanish, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent). Previous experience teaching IBDP Spanish B or Ab Initiois highly desirable. Strong understanding ofIB philosophy, assessment criteria, and curriculum requirements . Proficiency intechnology-enhanced learningand the use of digital tools in language instruction. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse school environment. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Experience teachingother IB levels (MYP Spanish) or additional languagesis a plus. Commitment tostudent-centered learningand fostering a growth mindset. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Passion for Spanish language and culture.
