OIA Global is privately held by LDI, Ltd.Summary: (Senior) AccountantWe are seeking a dedicated (Senior) Accountant with over 3 years of experience in ocean and air freight accounting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling international accounts, with a strong focus on import/export and triangular trade accounting. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of freight accounting, preparing monthly financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Additionally, you will excel in auditing, tax filing, and analyzing freight volume statistics to identify trends and patterns. This role also involves facilitating bank transactions, including remittances, transfers, and payroll processing, along with other tasks as assigned by management.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties and Responsibilities:Assist in establish and enforce proper accounting methods, and procedures and work with the regional finance team to determine if they are still appropriate. Suggest and implement changes as appropriate to improve accuracy and efficiency.Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual close process by adhering to the close calendar and Company policies and procedures, while working cross-functionally with other colleagues to deliver on-time and accurate monthly financials.Work of including cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, accounts payable transactions, daily payment, debt activity, recording of revenue, cost and expenses.Responsible for AR/AP/general ledger to ensure that all material activity has been captured and recorded accurately and on time.Provide analysis of cash flow, operating costs, and variances. Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.Provide accurate and timely financial information and develop monthly and quarterly reports to facilitate the decision-making process.Support the station’s annual budget process and assist to analyze the variances from plan. Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other personnel in resolving financial issues.Deal with tax bureau for statutory tax declaration and work with audit firm for semi-annual audit /annual audit.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Required Skills and Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
