Role PurposeConduct detailed site surveys for commercial and industrial clients, Identify project feasibility, suitable components, and site-specific constraints.Design optimized renewable energy systems, including solar PV and battery storage.Manage end-to-end technical aspects of project execution and build strong relationships with clients, creating trust and encouraging project sign-off.Ensure project compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and regulations.Support the business in tender responses and proposal preparation.Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in renewable energy.Experience in MW scale solar power plant will be preferred Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical layouts and SLDs for solar PV systems (LV, MV, HV), including hybrid and BESS setups, using tools like PVsyst, Aurora, Helioscope, and SolarPlus, while performing key technical calculations (voltage drop, cable sizing, short circuit current, and load balancing).Conduct site inspections to evaluate technical feasibility, perform generation forecasts and shading analysis, calculate ROI, IRR, LCOE, and payback periods, and prepare risk assessments with mitigation strategies.Support clients by explaining technical aspects, addressing queries, offering expert recommendations, and representing the project in meetings and presentations throughout its lifecycle.Prepare and review tender submissions with accurate cost and technical inputs, ensuring all project documentation complies with relevant standards.Coordinate with suppliers, OEMs, and contractors for specifications, evaluate and select key components, support procurement, and manage delivery timelines as per project schedule.Ensure adherence to national and international standards, grid requirements, and OH&S regulations, while staying updated on evolving codes, certifications, and local policies.Provide regular progress updates, identify and implement system improvements, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation. Expected OutputsOn-time delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables.Compliance with specifications, safety, and client requirements.Timely and accurate technical reports, designs, and documentation.Enhanced client satisfaction and increased project conversion rate.Improvement in internal systems, tools, and infrastructure. Professional & Technical SkillsTechnical Software Skills - Proficient in solar design tools (PVsyst, Aurora, Helioscope, SolarPlus), electrical calculation tools (voltage drop, short circuit, VR Calc), and drafting/analysis software like AutoCAD and ETAP.Project & Financial Skills - Skilled in ROI, IRR, and LCOE analysis, with strong understanding of pricing, procurement, vendor comparison, and overall project cost optimization.Administrative & Office Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office, HubSpot, and Xero, with expertise in data entry, reporting, document control, and use of CRM and project management tools.Compliance & Safety Knowledge - Well-versed in national and international standards, with experience in grid/off-grid systems and strong adherence to OH&S and site risk management practices. Personal AttributesClient-Focused: Clear communicator with strong client engagement skills.Organized: Excellent time management and prioritization.Proactive: Self-motivated and quality-driven.Team Player: Works collaboratively across functions.Vision-Aligned: Passionate about renewable energy.Energetic: Willing to travel and work on-site.Adaptable: Quick learner stays updated with industry trends.
