Braze CRM Specialist Location: RemoteType: Freelance / Part-Time ContractAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Braze CRM Specialist to support a fast-growing consumer tech brand in optimizing its marketing automation and customer lifecycle strategy. This role begins with a deep audit of the Braze setup and evolves into a hands-on execution and optimization function across lifecycle campaigns, journeys, and experimentation.ResponsibilitiesPhase 1: Setup Audit & OptimizationPerform a full audit of the current Braze setup (Canvas flows, event triggers, templates, tags, segments).Identify issues, inefficiencies, or missed opportunities in data structure, campaign logic, and user journeys.Deliver prioritized recommendations for improvement.Phase 2: Journey Building & Campaign ExecutionDesign, build, and optimize Canvas flows across onboarding, activation, upsell, churn recovery, and re-engagement.Set up behavioral, triggered, and time-based campaigns across email, push, in-app messaging, and SMS.Apply A/B testing and journey experimentation to improve performance.Support ad hoc campaigns (e.g., product launches, seasonal offers, limited-time upgrades).Phase 3: Strategy & InsightsDeliver insights using Braze’s reporting suite (or external tools, if integrated).Recommend new CRM tactics based on lifecycle stage, user activity, or segment behavior.Explore advanced Braze features like Connected Content, Webhooks, and Liquid Logic for deeper personalization.Requirements4+ years hands-on experience with Braze, including Canvas, segmentation, Liquid, and campaign analytics.Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and CRM automation best practices.Comfort working with event-driven architectures and user attribute-based targeting.Experience managing B2C lifecycle campaigns for digital or physical products.Ability to deliver independently with clear documentation and testing mindset.
