Job Description What this Job Entails:The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Analyst III, will support engineers and program managers a wide variety of products including hardware for consumers. Someone in the role should have a passion for innovation and engineering, as well as possess the organizational skills and adaptability to usher projects through the configuration management and product lifecycle phases.Scope: Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their specialty Works on problems of a diverse scope Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignmentsYour Roles and Responsibilities: Collaborate on projects for consumer hardware products Administer new part number (PN) set-up for parts and components Execute and track completion of engineering change orders (ECO), manufacturing change orders (MCO), ceviations, and all other configuration management activities Coordinate the implementation of internal subsystem bill of materials (BOM) and top-level assemblies (TLA) Participate in providing structural assistance and management for the creation of on-the-shelf (OTS), custom part numbers, including BOM Manage and drive product lifecycle management (PLM) readiness under entrance and exit requirements for all build phases and product lifecycle while working within all internal universal part number (UPN) document control standards Research product change impact to ensure that all products affected are identified and any issues resolved prior to the documents being finalized within product documentation management application Interface and communicate project status with engineering, other cross-functional departments and 3rd parties Work with logistics teams to properly classify parts and assemblies for import and export shipments Manage information and applicable supporting documents including, manufacturing part numbers (MPN) specifications, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) certificates, and other applicable attributes for stakeholders from approved manufacturer list (AML), and approved vendor List (AVL) Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this positionRequired Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain operations, or engineering Excellent documentation, writing, organization and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt to rapidly changing development projects Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical team members and customers Knowledge of creating part numbers, configuration management, and bill of materials - BOM Basic knowledge of materials and components in a production environment Must have great attention to detail as well as the ability to work independently Understanding of eCAD or mCAD componentsPreferred Qualifications:Physical Demand & Work Environment: Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment Must be able to use a computer Must have the ability to communicate effectively Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
