Role: Senior Product ManagerLocation: New Delhi, IndiaRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to lead the development of tools and experiences for our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) – the core contributors who answer student questions across our academic help platforms. This role will focus on building robust, scalable systems that empower SMEs to deliver high-quality, moderated content, and drive productivity through self-service dashboards and insights.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in India and the U.S., including engineering, design, operations, content quality, and data science, to drive a roadmap aligned with strategic business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end product lifecycle for SME-facing tools and platforms – from ideation to launch to iteration.Build and optimize systems for:Moderation of incoming content for quality and relevance.Self-serve dashboards for SME performance, payments, and productivity insights.Workflow and task management tools to scale SME engagement.Define and track key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of product features.Gather requirements from internal stakeholders across countries (India/US) and turn them into actionable product specs.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ship high-impact features.Communicate product vision, plans, progress, and trade-offs to stakeholders at all levels.Stay informed about the evolving needs of Chegg’s SME community through research, feedback, and usage data.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of total experience as a Product Manager in a consumer internet or edtech company.Demonstrated experience managing products with external contributors or gig workforces is a strong plus.Proven success in launching and scaling B2C or internal productivity platforms.Strong data-driven mindset; ability to use metrics and experimentation to guide decision-making.Excellent written and verbal communication skills – critical for working with distributed teams across India and the U.S.Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities.Experience working in an agile development environment.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in marketplace, content moderation, or platform product roles.Familiarity with tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, Confluence, Jira, and Figma.MBA or advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
