We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Regional WMS SAP ABAP Specialist to join our organization. This role requires in-depth technical proficiency in the design, development, and implementation of SAP ABAP solutions, with a particular focus on SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This position demands a strong understanding of warehouse and logistics processes, combined with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.Key responsibilities:Implementation & Configuration:Lead the technical implementation of SAP EWM solutions for clients.Configure and customize EWM modules as per client requirements.Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of EWM with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.System Development & Optimization:Design, develop, and implement technical solutions based on business requirements using ABAP, RFC, IDoc, BAPI, and other SAP tools.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve EWM-related technical issues.Conduct system performance tuning and optimization to ensure the smooth functioning of EWM processes.Integration & Data Migration:Work on EWM integration with other modules such as MM, WM, SD.Support data migration activities, ensuring accurate and efficient data transfers from legacy systems to SAP EWM.Work with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Orchestration) for interfacing.Technical Documentation & Training:Prepare detailed technical documentation for system design, development, and integration.Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for end-users and internal teams.Post-Implementation Support:Provide ongoing technical support and system maintenance post-implementation.Monitor and manage system health, apply necessary updates, patches, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify areas for improvement within the SAP EWM system.Suggest best practices, enhancements, and new features to enhance warehouse management processes.Other Areas:Provide fresh ideas and perspectives to WMS offerings, including challenging the status quoAble to communicate and articulate clearly risks and opportunities within the WMS pipelineDotted line communication to the Project Management Office (PMO) for better understanding and coordination of efforts and resourcing.Qualifications and Experiences:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience as a technical consultant with expertise in SAP EWM.Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming, including experience with EWM-specific modules.Experience with SAP WM, MM, and S/4HANA integration.Hands-on experience with IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and Web Services in SAP EWM.Familiarity with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI for integration purposes.Ability to develop and enhance custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements in EWM.Experience with SAP EWM configuration (e.g., defining storage types, bins, and rules).Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply via this LinkedIn post.
