As a Java Backend Engineer, you will play an instrumental role in designing, developing and enhancing back-end code for a Web portal. You will leverage your expertise to create responsive, high-performance applications, while also integrating tools to automate and optimize development tasks.Responsibilities Back-End Development:Build and maintain server-side functionality using Java/Spring.Design and optimize database structures using SQL. AWS Deployment (Basic Level):Deploy and manage applications on AWS EC2.Integrate and maintain S3 for storage and RDS for databases. Collaboration & Best Practices:Work in a remote setup with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA.Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.Document development processes for streamlined knowledge sharing.Required Technical SkillsBack-End:Professional experience with Java and Spring frameworkDatabase:Strong proficiency with SQL (designing, querying, and optimizing)AWS:Basic knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) for application deployment and managementQualifications Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience:Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java, Spring or Springboot.Previous work experience in a startup is a plus.Experience in Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS or backend tech like PHP is a plus.
