Role Purpose-Management of Glass assembly, Design & Simulation Projects, Feasibility, ECI & ECN and Cad management at all Location.Role Indicators-Feasibility, VA/VE Proposals, Technical review, Management Designing of Glass assembly and Child parts, Simulation of Glass assembly, Control & distribution of Drawing, CAD and Specification & People Development.Role & Responsibilities-Ensure to capture the Technical feasibility constraints in designing of glass Assy & Child parts.Ensure on time submission of DRS to Unit Head.Validate and approve the VA/VE proposals at the design stage.Validate and approve the Benchmarking results and implementation in Design.Conduct & Guide the Performance Improvement and Cost Reduction Study.Conduct and participate in the Review meeting with Customer and internal for design queries.Monitor and Control the Design activity Timeline.Design of Glass Assy and Child parts for Better productivity & Validate the Customer inputs have been captured in the 3D design of Glass assembly & Child parts.Validate and approve the GD&T and datum requirement mentioned on Drawing as per Customer requirement and Fitment condition.Approve the Guest Engineering support to OEM onsite.Verify the Design Card ( Design Go ahead ) based on ECI & RFQ to Internal Go Ahead. Approval of DFMEA & Design Documents.Get the Design Approval for Glass & Child part from Customer and VPL on time to meet the Project schedule.Validate & Approval of Simulation results before sharing to Customer and VPL.Enhance the Inhouse Simulation capability.Monitor and control the CAD data management with proper revision level (Glass assembly, Child part and Tooling Drg).To identify training needs and organize relevant trainings in order to ensure capability enhancement of the team.Exposure1) Able to interpret results / make recommendations for the project2) design software( Auto cad / CATIA / Pro E/ Unigraphics, Hypermesh, ( NX etc. )3) DFMEA, DOE, GD&T4) Design & Development of Glass components including validation & testing of Windshields, Sidelites and Backlites5) Quality Systems - TS16949 , TQM practices, ISO 14000" 6) Working with Global CFTRole Preference-7-12 years of total experience required.Auto industry backgroundB. Tech./B.E. (Mechanical) qualified.
