Known for vibrant branding and thoughtfully designed spaces, they aim to deliver a unique and authentic experience to coffee enthusiasts.Job Summary:As Head of Retail, you will lead the growth and performance of a growing FMCG portfolio across multiple channels. From established categories like coffee beans and chocolates to emerging offerings such as granola and ready-to-eat/drink products, this is a pivotal leadership role with full ownership over category strategy, product management, pricing, promotions, and channel expansion. You’ll be responsible for crafting and executing strategies that drive profitability, enhance market presence, and strengthen consumer engagement—particularly within modern retail environments.Responsibilities:• Category Strategy & OwnershipDefine and lead strategy for coffee, chocolate, granola, and RTE/RTD categories. Drive product roadmap, market positioning, and profitability across channels.• Market Research & InsightsConduct in-depth market research and trend analysis to uncover consumer needs, competitive gaps, and whitespace opportunities.• Product & Portfolio ManagementManage product mix and lifecycle. Launch new products aligned with customer demand and brand vision.• Channel Development & Retail ExpansionScale presence across D2C, quick-commerce, and offline retail. Understand and optimize for unique store environments, including modern trade and high-footfall locations.• Pricing, Promotions & ProfitabilityLead pricing strategy and develop promotional campaigns in coordination with marketing to drive volume and margins.• Performance AnalysisMonitor category KPIs, identify underperformance, and implement data-driven corrective actions.• Cross-functional LeadershipCollaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to ensure flawless execution and sustained growth.Key Requirements:• 6–9 years of experience in retail and FMCG, with at least 4 years in category management or product leadership roles.• Background in large FMCG organizations, ideally with exposure to managing branded packaged goods in both physical and digital environments.• Strong understanding of store-level operations, including merchandising and consumer behavior in modern retail settings.• Prior experience in a growth-stage startup (Series A–E) is a significant plus.• An MBA is preferred.
