Position: HeadmistressRole Overview:The Headmistress will be responsible for leading the academic and administrative functions of the school,ensuring high standards of education in alignment with the CBSE framework and the institutional vision. Therole demands strong leadership, curriculum oversight, faculty development, student welfare management, andeffective communication with all stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:• Supervise and enhance the academic curriculum to ensure adherence to CBSE guidelines and theschool's educational philosophy.• Implement innovative teaching methodologies to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.• Monitor lesson planning, classroom instruction, and overall academic performance.Faculty Development:• Guide, mentor, and support teachers in refining their pedagogical practices.• Organize and oversee professional development programs, training workshops, and educationalseminars for faculty members.• Conduct periodic teacher evaluations, providing constructive feedback to drive continuousimprovement.Student Progress and Welfare:• Assess students' academic performance and implement targeted interventions for underperformingstudents.• Collaborate with faculty and counselors to address students' academic and emotional well-being.• Ensure the effective execution of remedial programs and co-curricular activities.Administrative Duties:• Support the Principal in day-to-day school administration, ensuring compliance with institutionalpolicies and guidelines.• Manage academic schedules, timetables, and examination processes efficiently.• Engage with parents to address academic concerns and provide updates on student progress.Quality Assurance:• Ensure adherence to CBSE regulations, school policies, and quality standards.• Lead the preparation for academic inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.• Continuously evaluate and refine academic policies and procedures to enhance institutionaleffectiveness.Communication and Collaboration:• Act as a bridge between teachers, students, and management to facilitate seamless coordination.• Strengthen collaboration between academic and non-academic departments for a holistic learningexperience.• Represent the school in academic forums, conferences, and meetings as required.Qualifications and Skills:• Master’s degree in Education or a related field (B.Ed. is mandatory; M.Ed. is preferred).• A background in English or Science will be given preference.• Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3-5 years in an administrative or leadershiprole.• In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, assessment frameworks, and contemporary teachingmethodologies.• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in educational technology and digital tools for teaching and administration.• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
