Job descriptionWe are looking for an experienced Proposal Engineer – Water & Wastewater Projects to handle the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tenders, proposals, and bids for Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Recycling Plants, and other environmental projects. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the bidding process, technical documentation, and cost estimation.Key Responsibilities:Tender Identification & Pre-Bid Activities:Search and analyze government and private tenders related to wastewater treatment.Study tender documents, eligibility criteria, and scope of work.Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, finance) for bid feasibility.Proposal & Bid Preparation:Prepare techno-commercial proposals, RFQs, and RFPs as per client requirements.Develop technical and commercial bid documents, including cost estimation.Ensure all proposals comply with regulatory, contractual, and company standards.Cost Estimation & Pricing Strategy:Conduct cost analysis for equipment, civil works, electrical & instrumentation.Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and competitive pricing strategies.Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for accurate cost estimations.Bid Submission & Follow-up:Ensure timely submission of bids via online portals or direct submission.Address pre-bid queries, clarifications, and modifications.Follow up with clients on bid status, negotiations, and contract finalization.Market Research & Competitor Analysis:Track industry trends, competitor pricing, and emerging technologies.Identify potential opportunities for project bidding and partnerships.Client Coordination & Documentation:Maintain strong client relationships for future bidding opportunities.Handle post-tender negotiations and contract award documentation.Experience: 3-5 Years in Tendering & Proposal Preparation for Water/Wastewater Treatment ProjectsQualification: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental EngineeringKey Skills & Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in tendering, proposals, and bid management for ETP/STP projects. Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes. Experience in government tenders, e-procurement portals, and private project bidding. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD (preferred). Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
