This Engineer will be responsible for creating seamless ETL solutions, ensuring data quality, supporting QA/UAT activities, and driving process improvements.In this position, the Engineer will conduct root cause analysis, recommend engineering solutions, and validate their implementation. The role also includes working closely with DA/BA teams to gather requirements and document the engineered infrastructure.The successful candidate will join a team of data and analytics professionals, as a contractor, working within structured data management and software development frameworks, requiring effective collaboration and an understanding of each team member’s role in the development and support lifecycle. The DnA team utilizes a variety of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Hybrid) to manage diverse project workstreams.We are seeking an independent thinker who can take on projects, contributing to the development of cleaner, more efficient applications. Strong database, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. This position requires a deep understanding of databases, data pipelines, the ability to identify data-related issues, and active participation in solution development and testing efforts. Proficiency in SQL is required.Key Responsibilities:Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software systems.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into development.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on SQL.Proficient in SQL and experience with database design and optimization.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working within cloud platforms but not mandatory.Knowledge of front-end technologies is a plus.Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies“Straive is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
