Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategicR2R Process Expertto be part of the R2R Leadership for a reputed client of ours. With over 20 years of in-depth delivery experience across all aspects of the R2R process, the ideal candidate has a proven track record in implementing process standardization, digital transformation initiatives, complex automation solutions, and process streamlining. This role will be responsible for driving significant operational efficiencies for our clients while ensuring strict compliance with global accounting standards.Key Responsibilities: End-to-End R2R Leadership: Oversee and direct the complete R2R cycle, including journal entries, month-end closing, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting. Ensure robust adherence to accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP) and internal controls. Process Standardization & Improvement: Design and implement standardized R2R processes across diverse business units and geographies. Lead digital interventions to automate routine tasks, reduce manual efforts, and enhance process accuracy. Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and achieve cost efficiencies, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies. Digital Transformation & Complex Automation: Spearhead the integration of innovative automation tools (RPA, AI, ML) into the R2R process to drive transformative improvements. Collaborate with IT and process engineering teams to develop and deploy automated solutions, workflows and dashboards that address complex challenges and analysis. Monitor and continuously optimize digital systems to ensure they meet evolving business needs and deliver measurable improvements in operational performance. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management: Act as the lead R2R subject matter expert during client engagements and audits, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting. Build strong relationships with global leaders, internal and external stakeholders, and auditors, proactively addressing issues and aligning process improvements with client expectations. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of R2R analysts and process specialists, and managers ensuring skill development and knowledge transfer. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the team through strategic training programs and effective performance management. Strategic Impact & Reporting: Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making and enhance ROI. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reports that track process efficiency, quality, and overall financial impact.Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CMA are preferred. 20+ years of progressively responsible experience in R2R processes, global finance shared services, and process transformation. Demonstrated success in implementing digital solutions (e.g., ERP, RPA, AI/ML) and driving significant efficiency gains. Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage large teams and engage effectively with global stakeholders and clients. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, audit processes, and compliance standards.
