President Reshef’s TED Talk and Nas Daily interview about the University have 30 million views combined.REPORTS TO: Director of Data Intelligence and AnalyticsOVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with deep expertise in Power BI and SQL Server to join our analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights through powerful dashboards and robust data analysis. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-impact reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Write efficient, complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from SQL Server databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Operations, etc.) to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Build and optimize data models in Power BI for performance and scalability. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Automate recurring reporting processes and identify opportunities to streamline data workflows. Monitor key metrics and develop alerts and reports to support business monitoring. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on Power BI and SQL Server. Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. Strong SQL skills, with demonstrated experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning on SQL Server. Experience working with large datasets and designing scalable analytics solutions. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Power BI administration (e.g., workspace management, security, gateway setup). Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS). Understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory).
