Job Description:- Excellent Microsoft SQL server database administration skills in production support capacity, with the responsibility for delivery, support and maintenance of high available and high performance environment.Support of Database installation and configuration . monitoring , upgrade and patching trouble shooting , Root cause analysis and performance tuning.Proactively monitor , analyze ,and resolve database performance and other issues.perform SQL server upgrades and Database migrations.Experience MSSQL Database administration on both clouds AWS &Azure is highly desirable.Experience of provisioning and supporting Azure SQL and AWS RDS ( SQL server and PostgreSQL)Experience in setting up Azure SQL Databases ( Iaas,paas) and migration of databases from on-prem to Azure .Utilize AWS CloudWatch ,Azure Monitor and other monitoring tools to ensure database health, performance, and to automate scaling and notifications.Storing understanding of cloud networking security best practices and IAM Roles.Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills in cloud environmentsDealing directly with end-users and customers and have excellent communication skills.Oversee the Databases cost management , ensuring cost-effective use of resourcesSkill Set:- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field with 7-10+ years’ experience7 -10 years of Proven Experience on MSSQL database and PostgreSQL Administration across on on-premises , AWS and Azure cloud environments..AWS DMS configuration and support.Automation using PowerShell/T-SQL.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating Databases in DevOps workflows.Experience on ITIL process such as Incident, Service requests and change and problem management,Expertise Cloud optimization and performance tuning.The position will require some weekend /after hour support for rotation on call support, quarterly patching and any P1 incidents.
