We focus on getting to know our clients and candidates to create lasting partnerships and ensure success.We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade business intelligence solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into compelling visual stories and strategic insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and shape our BI roadmap. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with business acumen and a passion for data storytelling.WHAT YOU GET TO DO :Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI solutions, dashboards, and interactive reports.Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to define KPIs, data needs, and reporting solutions.Architect and implement robust semantic data models using DAX and Power Query (M).Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL, cloud platforms, APIs) to create unified, reliable datasets.Partner with data engineers and IT to ensure data accuracy, availability, and performance optimization.Define and enforce BI standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organization.Provide technical guidance on performance tuning and model optimization.Collaborate with leadership to translate business strategy into actionable analytics solutions.Stay abreast of Power BI and Microsoft BI stack advancements, driving innovation and adoption of new features.WHAT YOU BRING :Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including complex DAX calculations, advanced data modeling, and large-scale dashboard design.Expert-level proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and Power BI service administration.Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data governance.Demonstrated experience working with enterprise data sources, including SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, or similar platforms.Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL).Experience with DevOps for Power BI, version control (e.g., Git), and deployment pipelines.Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS, SSIS, Looker).Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-300, PL-600, or Azure Data Engineer Associate).Experience of Agile or Scrum methodologies.Experience leading data visualization strategy or governance initiatives.MORE ABOUT WIMMER SOLUTIONSWimmer Solutions is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
