As we scale our operations and strengthen our partnerships, we are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our growing team.Role Overview:The Production Planner will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of the production process at our manufacturing facility. This role involves managing raw material procurement, work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory, production scheduling, tooling coordination, and plant reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to effectively communicate across departments.Key Responsibilities:Production Planning & Scheduling:Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.Optimize production schedules to ensure efficient resource utilization and on-time delivery.Inventory & Material Management:Monitor and manage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory.Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.Track material consumption and reconcile with production output.Tooling & Development Coordination:Ensure availability and maintenance of necessary tooling and fixtures for production.Collaborate with the design and development teams on new product and process developments.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate production records, material consumption logs, and daily production reports.Generate and analyze production KPIs to support management decisions.Prepare regular reports on production efficiency, downtime, and material yield.Process Improvement:Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements for increased efficiency and reduced waste.Participate in cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.Communication & Coordination:Act as a bridge between production, quality, stores, maintenance, and management teams.Effectively communicate production plans, changes, and updates across all relevant departments.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering company, preferably in production planning or operations.Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and production tracking tools.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material flow, and inventory management.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Key Competencies:Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective verbal and written communication.Attention to detail and accuracy.Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Ability to work independently and in a team.
