The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in news, storytelling, and media production, and will assist in researching, reporting, writing, and editing content for our platform. This is a remote internship role for a Journalism & Content Writing Intern. The intern will be responsible for writing press releases, conducting research, news writing, and developing engaging content. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the editorial process and assisting with communication tasks.Key Responsibilities:Research and pitch story ideas relevant to our audience.Assist in writing articles, interviews, and news reports under editorial guidance.Conduct interviews (phone, email, or in-person) and fact-check sources.Support content creation across platforms – website, social media, newsletters.Help in editing and proofreading content to ensure accuracy and clarity.Attend editorial meetings and contribute to content planning.Assist multimedia teams with video/audio content, if applicable.Requirements:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.Strong writing and verbal communication skills.Interest in current affairs, digital media, and storytelling.Basic knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.Advantage Snackfax:Hands-on newsroom experience in a fast-paced environment.Opportunity to publish bylined articles.Mentorship from experienced journalists and editors.Insight into how stories go from idea to publication.Certificate and Stipend for all interns who are part of the program
