The Lead Engineer will act as the primary technical contact, owning platform maturity, stakeholder communication, and continuous service improvement.Job DetailsLocation: Fully Remote (India-based)Reports To: Cloud Services Lead / CTOEmployment Type: Full-time Salary Range (India-based): ₹22 – ₹30 LPA (Lead role)Core ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365 Ownership- Lead administration of all M365 workloads including Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Compliance Center - Manage hybrid Exchange configuration, SMTP routing, and mail flow between on-prem and cloud - Configure and troubleshoot mail routing, transport rules, accepted/authoritative domains, and hybrid connectors - Oversee email security: anti-spam, anti-phishing, malware policies, Safe Links, Safe Attachments (Defender for Office 365) - Implement and monitor SPF, DKIM, DMARC for domain security - Manage domain lifecycle: accepted domains, external forwarding rules, MX priorities, and trusted senders - Own the ongoing health of Exchange Hybrid setup, including patching, upgrades, and migration scenarios - Provide PowerShell-based automation for mailbox management, mail flow tracking, and reporting - Advise on Exchange licensing, retention policies, shared mailboxes, and mailbox permissionsActive Directory & Hybrid Identity- Manage on-prem AD including FSMO roles, replication, Sites & Services, GPOs, DNS, trusts - Maintain and troubleshoot hybrid AD with Azure AD Connect - Ensure sync health, identity integrity, and secure federation configurations - Lead schema upgrades, migrations, or infrastructure improvements as neededCustomer Communication & Project Leadership- Serve as the go-to engineer for customer stakeholders, presenting updates, roadmaps, and improvements - Own change management: impact assessment, documentation, approvals, execution - Provide regular service reviews, reports, and improvement recommendations - Lead project tasks and coordinate deliverables in M365 and AD areas - Work independently while aligning with internal governance and architecture teamsRequired Skills & Experience- 6–10+ years’ experience in Microsoft 365 and AD infrastructure roles - Strong Exchange Hybrid experience and deep M365 security knowledge - Expert-level Active Directory understanding with hybrid sync experience - PowerShell scripting for automation and diagnostics - Excellent spoken and written communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills - Ability to operate autonomously in customer-facing environments - Strong documentation, governance, and change control disciplineMandatory Certifications- SC-300: Microsoft Certified – Identity and Access Administrator Associate - MS-102: Microsoft 365 Certified – Administrator ExpertOptional/Recommended (Not Mandatory)- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate - SC-900: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals - Trainings via Microsoft Learn (PowerShell, Defender, Purview, etc.)Salary Guidance (India – Remote Lead Role)6–8 yrs, all mandatory certs: ₹22 – ₹25 LPA 8–10+ yrs, lead comms + security: ₹26 – ₹30 LPA *Consider a performance bonus or skill premium for those who lead security and automation initiatives proactively. *
