Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics) for driving strategic initiatives, with a focus on skill gap identification, competency-based curriculum, integration of skills in higher education, learning by doing, on job learning, programme outcomes attainment, technology-based monitoring and quality assurance, faculty upskilling and certification, research and innovation, programme success, student engagement, academic excellence and placement.Key Responsibilities:Providing leadership and strategic direction to the academic programs, faculty, and departments of the university.Overseeing the development and implementation of academic policies and standards, ensuring alignment with the university’s vision, mission, and goals.Fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, skill integration, research, and services across the university.Overseeing and monitoring the administration of the academic programs and general administration of the faculty for efficiency and order.Leading and managing academic staff, ensuring effective performance management, professional development, and succession planning.Overseeing the development and administration of budgets for academic departments, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.Ensuring high standards of academic quality and rigor through regular evaluation and enhancement of programs focused on competency-based higher education.Leading efforts in accreditation, compliance, and regulatory reporting, adhering to national and international standards.Assisting the growth of the university by creating and implementing effective processes to achieve desired outcomes.Leading the development and implementation of university policies related to academic affairs, research, and student services.Regularly reviewing and updating policies in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.Ensuring adherence to directives from the State Government and the provisions of relevant laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations.Ensuring academic discipline among students, teachers, and academic officers.Reporting periodically to the Academic Council on the university’s activities.Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the university’s reputation and rankings at national and international levels.Contributing to the university’s strategic planning process, particularly in areas related to academic growth, research, and innovation.Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry partners, alumni, and the academic community.Representing the university in external forums, conferences, and partnerships to promote its interests and strategic priorities.Promoting and supporting a research and innovation culture, encouraging interdisciplinary
