Our company is developing multiple unmanned systems for sea, air, and ground applications. We are rapidly expanding in this domain with an aim to be the lead supplier to the Indian Armed Forces and establish a dom-inant global presence. Our talented team enables us to offer cutting-edge technology to the end user.We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Head to lead our design team focused on the development of defence products such as artillery systems, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles, Loitering Munitions, UAV’s and Missiles. In this role, you will play a key role in de-signing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge design solutions for various applications as stated above. You will be responsible for prototype integration, testing and design valida-tion of various systems. You will lead the design and systems integration team.Key Accountabilities : Lead the design team to develop state of the art defence products and implement in-novative design solutions.Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.Collaboration with various design verticals, resource management to prepare design strategies beneficial for the organization.Coordinate with technology partners for design concurrence and approvals.Conduct regular design reviews and assessments to identify and mitigate risks that can affect the programme.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.Contribute towards the prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing in order to vali-date the design.Streamline design processes, SOP’s, formulation of design procedures at Design cen-tre.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to defence industry.Enhancement of technical capabilities of design centre in order to undertake greater challenges in product design and development.Preparation of a roadmap to make the Design Centre a centre of excellence at par with international benchmark.Advocating for user-centric design principles and best practices within the organiza-tion.Relevant Experience:Minimum 15-18 years’ experi-ence in core design domainProven experience in product design and developmentDesign Team Lead for a min-imum duration of 6-7 years in a reputed organization.Experience in system integra-tion of mechanical / electri-cal/ electronic / hydraulic sys-tems.Excellent leadership and ana-lytical skills.Desirable:Design experience in de-fence industry particularly for land-based artillery sys-tems, underwater vessels and airborne UAV’s / Missiles.Understanding of require-ments of modern-day war-fare, C4I etc.Excellent communication & Interpersonal Skills.Educational Qualification: BE / B. Tech – Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics (Top 50 in NIRF) and Master’s Degree in any design oriented domain
