We are looking for experienced Smart Card Developer to develop, integrate, and personalize secure chip-based solutions for passports, electronic IDs (eID), driver's licenses (DL), and other secure documents. experience in smart card development, secure applet programming, and compliance with international standards such as ICAO, ISO 7816, ISO 14443, and BSI.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and test chip-based applications and applets for secure electronic documents.Work with Java Card, GlobalPlatform, and Multos for secure applet development and deployment.Implement and integrate ICAO-compliant ePassport and eID personalization systems.Ensure compliance with ISO 7816 (smart card interface), ISO 14443 (contactless communication), BSI TR-03110, and other security standards.Develop and manage cryptographic security measures, including key management, encryption algorithms, and digital signatures.Personalize smart cards with biometric, textual, and cryptographic data, ensuring secure issuance and lifecycle management.Collaborate with PKI, security, and identity management teams to integrate chip-based security features.Troubleshoot and optimize chip performance, security, and communication protocols.Conduct functional and security testing to verify compliance with standards and ensure resistance to attacks.Document development processes, security measures, and best practices for chip coding and personalization.Stay updated on new developments in secure chip technologies and cryptographic standards.Proficiency in Java Card, GlobalPlatform, Multos, and secure chip programming.Deep understanding of ICAO standards (ePassport, LDS, PKD), ISO 7816, ISO 14443, and BSI TR-03110.Experience with cryptographic protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, SHA, ECDSA) and PKI integration.Knowledge of contact and contactless smart card technologies.Familiarity with secure chip operating systems (JCOP, SmartMX, Infineon, NXP, STMicroelectronics, etc.).Experience with chip personalization systems and data encoding formats (MRTD, BAC, SAC, PACE, EAC).Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for chip applications and communication issues.Ability to write scripts for automated testing and personalization workflows.Qualification & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineer, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 10 years total relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred Certifications:GlobalPlatform Certified EngineerJava Card Developer CertificationCertified Smart Card Security Professional (CSCSP)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)ICAO PKI and eMRTD Certification
