The group has engineering teams in India, UK & USA and production facilities in India & USA.Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Managing DirectorJob Summary: The General Manager - Finance is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic growth. The role requires an all-rounder finance professional with expertise in accounting, taxation, auditing, financial planning, treasury, risk management, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Strategy Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth.Analyze financial reports and provide insights to senior management.Prepare financial forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis.Accounting & Financial Reporting Ensure accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) as per IND-AS/IFRS.Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely book closures.Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring compliance.Taxation & Compliance Manage Direct & Indirect Taxes (GST, Income Tax, TDS, Transfer Pricing, etc.).Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities (SEBI, RBI, ROC, FEMA, etc.).Handle tax assessments, appeals, and liaise with tax consultants.Treasury & Working Capital Management Monitor cash flow, banking operations, and fund management.Optimize working capital, ensuring smooth operations and liquidity.Manage borrowings, credit facilities, and relationships with banks & financial institutions.Risk Management & Internal Controls Establish internal controls & risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets.Ensure corporate governance and financial discipline across departments.Implement cost control measures to improve profitability.Business Analysis & Decision Support Provide financial insights for business expansion, investments, and M&A activities.Conduct feasibility studies and financial due diligence for new projects.Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic decisions.Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance & accounts team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency.Represent the finance department in board meetings, investor discussions, and strategy meetings.Key Qualifications & Experience:Chartered Accountant (CA) – MandatoryMinimum 10+ years of experience in finance & accounts (preferably in manufacturing/engineering/automobile industry).Strong expertise in accounting standards (IND-AS/IFRS), taxation, audits, treasury, and financial planning.Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of corporate finance, investment analysis, and M&A.Hands-on experience in handling banking & investor relations.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
