The company develops and deploys a complete range of award-winning forensics, compliance, security surveillance and performance management solutions for applications ranging from core infrastructures to edge and branch environments.NIKSUN is seeking a Network Storage Engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role focuses on the development, deployment, and maintenance of highly available, scalable storage and container orchestration systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Ceph, ZFS, and NFS storage technologiesKey responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain distributed storage systems including Ceph, ZFS, and NFS for use across hybrid and cloud-native environments.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking, and container orchestration systems.Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure using tools like PrometheusCollaborate with development and SRE teams to ensure seamless CI/CD and infrastructure reliability.Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.Document architectural decisions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.Requirements:3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.Proficient with Ceph (RADOS, RBD, CephFS) and ZFS administration.Solid experience managing NFS servers and performance tuning.Preferred knowledge of Kubernetes internals, networking, and cluster lifecycle management.Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm, etc.Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.Desired Qualifications:Experience using the Rook-Ceph operator for Kubernetes.Knowledge of CSI storage drivers and volume provisioning in Kubernetes.Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or RHCSA are a plus.Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineeringThe role involves working with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of cloud projects, including migration, containerization, and transformation initiatives. Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, etc.) is beneficial.The Cloud Engineer will be part of a dynamic team designing, automating, and deploying cloud-based services.
