We believe in the power of experiential learning to shape young minds, and we do this in partnership with expert facilitators and vibrant communities who bring our programs to life.About the Role The Community Manager will play a pivotal role in nurturing Redwood’s growing network of freelance facilitators, subject matter experts, on ground operations managers— who guide our students through unforgettable learning experiences across India. From recruitment and onboarding to training, engagement, and support, this role is all about building a thriving, mission-aligned facilitator community that delivers excellence on every trip.The ideal candidate is a people person with strong communication and organizational skills, a flair for relationship-building, and an instinct for problem-solving. You should be just as comfortable developing systems as you are having honest conversations, ensuring every SME feels empowered, supported, and inspired.ResponsibilitiesCommunity Building & EngagementCultivate a strong, values-aligned community of freelance facilitators who champion Redwood’s mission.Design and lead engagement initiatives—virtual check-ins, learning circles, newsletters, and meetups—that foster belonging and continuous growth.Build and maintain an ongoing feedback loop with facilitators, ensuring their voices are heard and their experiences are continually improved.Hiring & OnboardingIdentify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality subject matter experts across diverse domains (sustainability, entrepreneurship, STEM, etc.).Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, from outreach and screening to contracting and induction.Create onboarding processes that effectively introduce facilitators to Redwood’s culture, expectations, and trip protocols.Training & DevelopmentDevelop training resources and sessions to equip facilitators with the tools, pedagogies, and mindsets needed to lead immersive educational experiences.Ensure facilitators are up-to-date on program content, student safety practices, and experiential learning methodologies.Support & Issue ResolutionAct as the primary point of contact for facilitator concerns and queries—before, during, and after trips.Handle grievances with empathy and professionalism, balancing facilitator needs with organizational goals.Maintain clear documentation and follow-ups to resolve issues and prevent future roadblocks.Payroll & Admin CoordinationCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of facilitator payments.Maintain a comprehensive and updated database of facilitator contracts, assignments, and performance records.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in community management, HR, talent acquisition, or program management—preferably in education, training, or youth-focused organizations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.Highly organized, process-driven, and attentive to detail; able to manage multiple workflows and timelines simultaneously.A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and is comfortable building systems from scratch.Deep commitment to education and belief in the transformative power of learning beyond the classroom.Join us in sculpting a future where education is boundless, where learning isn't confined but expands horizons.
