The company develops and deploys a complete range of award-winning forensics, compliance, security surveillance, and performance management solutions for applications ranging from core infrastructures to edge and branch environments.NIKSUN is seeking an experienced cloud engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role is essential to ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of our cloud-native services and platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing cloud environments and Kubernetes-based deployments in production.Key responsibilities:Operate, monitor, and optimize clusters for performance and health, including cluster upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.Administer Kubernetes clusters including addition of new nodes, maintenance of existing nodes and infrastructure, management of taints and tolerations, etcEnsure high availability, fault tolerance, and cost-efficiency across cloud-based systems.Automate infrastructure tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Build and support CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins to streamline application deployment.Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application rollouts and incident management.Monitor system health and respond to incidents with clear communication and effective troubleshooting.Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, procedures, and runbooks.Requirements: 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles.Solid knowledge of Kubernetes operations, Helm, and container runtimes (Docker, containers).Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and their administrationEducation:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineeringThe role involves working with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of cloud infrastructure projects, including migration, containerization, and transformation initiatives. Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, etc.) is beneficial.The Cloud Engineer will be part of a dynamic team designing, automating, and deploying services for NIKSUN’s internal and external cloud environments.
