Job descriptionWe are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment to lead the commissioning, testing, and startup of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Recycling Plants, and Industrial Water Treatment Systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant performance.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Commissioning & Planning:Review plant designs, P&ID, GA drawings, and process flow diagrams.Plan and prepare commissioning schedules, procedures, and documentation.Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, and vendors for smooth execution.Plant Commissioning & Testing:Supervise installation, mechanical completion, and start-up activities.Conduct equipment testing, trial runs, and performance optimization.Calibrate and test pumps, blowers, aerators, dosing systems, filters, and other components.Conduct process trials and verify compliance with design parameters.Process Optimization & Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve operational issues during start-up.Optimize process efficiency, chemical dosing, and sludge management.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and discharge standards.Customer Training & Handover:Train client personnel on plant operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.Prepare commissioning reports, O&M manuals, and troubleshooting guidelines.Ensure smooth handover of commissioned plants to the operations team.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain detailed logs of commissioning activities, tests, and observations.Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and share findings with the management.Work closely with the design and service teams for continuous process improvements.Preferred Industry Experience:Experience: 3-5 Years in Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant CommissioningWater & Wastewater TreatmentIndustrial & Municipal Water TreatmentEnvironmental Engineering & Pollution ControlEPC & Infrastructure CompaniesQualification: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental EngineeringKey Skills & Requirements:3-5 years of experience in commissioning ETP/STP/WTP/RO plants.Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (ASP, MBBR, SBR, UF, RO, etc.).Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, blowers, aeration systems, PLC/SCADA controls.Ability to read and interpret P&ID, electrical, and mechanical drawings.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Willingness to travel for site work and extended commissioning periods.Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
