JOB DESCRIPTION OF VICE PRINCIPAL, COLLEGE OF NURSINGDesignation:Vice PrincipalPortal / School:NSHM College Of NursingQualifications: Nursing Degree. Throughout min. 60% aggregate in academia Having both Academic and Administrative Exposure in reputed and affiliated Education Institute or UniversityExperience:20 + Yrs. within the age bracket of 50 Years.ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITES: Participates in determination of educational purposes and policies. Assists Principal in caring out financial activities, planning and implementation. Assist in identification, repair, renovation and maintenance works of building. In absence of principal performs all the functions. contributes to develop, implement and interpret the philosophy; objective and purposes of total educational programme. Helps the principal to estimate, purchase of items and preparation of budget as required. Assists Principal in formulation of various committee such as anti-raging committee, purchase committee, budget preparation etc. Assists Principal in staff requirement process. Assists Principal for law and order in the college. Inform teacher and students regarding policy, procedure and standard of practice in work place. Communicate with staff in explaining administrative constraints Facilitates professional behavior in work place as well as campus. Maintain discipline in all level of workers in the college. Assists principal to identify and take action in any case of ragging or harassment in work situation. Supervise students, hostel and college. Maintain equipment and gazettes. Helps in audit process.ACADEMIC RESPONSIBILITIES : Assists Principal and coordinates with Associate professor and Assistant Professor in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the educational programme of the college. Organize and participates in staff development programme. Supervise graduate, post graduate and M.Phil. students in conducting research. Acts as chairperson of various committees. Overall in-charge of conducting admission procedures and final university examination. Evaluates teacher's and student's performance and provide supportive supervision. Assists to principal for e-learning and updating knowledge to the teachers and students Act as advisory body of post graduate and curriculum committee. Maintain academic records and reports. Prepare required list of books, A.V. aids, equipment, software and assists in procurement process. Conduct classes for under graduate, post graduate and all nursing courses pertaining to the institution. Conduct and participate in seminar, conference, workshop at the State, National and International level Acts as a research guide/co-guide for post graduate and under graduate students Conduct and assists in research and publish report Acts as a head of the journal club and organizes presentations Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of continuing education programme Organizes and guides student's research related presentation and activities. Prepares guidelines, protocols and disseminates to all concerned. Organizes refresher courses or induction programmes for teachers.
