JOB SUMMARY:Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and work towards unlocking regulatory hurdles and bottlenecks in conjunction with the Zonal Corporate Affairs leads. Maintain strong oversight of regulatory changes and develop strategies and techniques for seamless adherence. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies. Deliver updated regulatory compliance reports. Ensure that the company's opportunities for external engagement are maximized, through a systematic approach to stakeholder engagement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with the relevant state and central government ministries and regulators specially state Excise, Finance departments.- Represent PRI at various industry platforms at the state level and maintain PRI's share of voice at such platforms.- Monitor political, economic social and other relevant developments in the operating environment, develop plans to leverage the developments to PRI's advantage proactively and mitigation plans to reduce the negative impact, if any.- Support PRI senior leadership in handling crises, support crises mitigation plans.- Develop strategies to ensure company's activities comply with government regulations and systematically improve the company's performance in this area.- Develop and deliver updated Dashboard of Regulatory Issues- Serve as a liaison between regulatory bodies and operating divisions of the company.- Prepare and submit applications and reports to applicable regulatory agencies and respond to requests for information from regulatory bodies.- Coordinate with departments to ensure compliance with regulations.- Maintains current knowledge of regulations applicable to the company, and closely monitor regulatory changes and highlight the risk/opportunity of those changes.- Represent the company in a variety of settings, including with governments, regional and international policy and diplomatic core, technical fora, civil society and the private sector in a manner that maintains the high standards of PRI.PROFILE DETAILS:EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:- Total 8 to 10 years of experience in Government Affairs, Regulatory, Public policy and advocacy- Extensive knowledge of applicable government regulations, with proven track record on being able to resolve conflicts and assure compliance.- Ability to inform and educate managers and department heads on regulations and polices that require compliance.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as knowledge and experience of documentation and creating and running dashboards.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strategic thinking- Display ability to manage crisis in case of regulatory conflicts or breakdowns.- Display strong values of ethics and compliance.INTERACTIONS:INTERNALLY:- Senior Management- State and Federal Government Affairs & Public Policy Leads- Zonal Corporate Affairs Leads- CSR and Corp CommsEXTERNALLY:- Government & policy makers at State and Federal Level- Apex Chambers like, CII, FICCI, ISWAI- Diplomatic corps- Think tanks and research groups.
