We aim to build not just a brand, but a culture that is known for excellence, empathy, and empowerment.Role SummaryThe Head of HR will lead the end-to-end Human Resources function across strategic HR, operations, talent acquisition, statutory compliance, employee experience, and Industrial Relations. This role will play a key part in achieving Alankaram’s goal of becoming a Great Place to Work® certified organization by Dec 2025, and reducing attrition below industry benchmarks while cultivating a productive, engaged, and compliant workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership- Develop and implement the HR strategy aligned to business goals, scaling Alankaram’s workforce and workplace culture. - Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people-related matters. - Track and report key HR metrics to leadership, driving data-informed decisions.Talent Management & Development- Oversee recruitment strategy through the recruiter, ensuring a strong pipeline of design, technical, and support talent. - Implement performance management cycles, career development programs, and leadership grooming. - Prepare and monitor training program for the entire workforce. - Support internal mobility and succession planning.Employee Experience & Engagement- Drive initiatives to enhance the Employee Happiness Index through feedback loops, surveys, and interventions. - Maintain health, hygiene and safety in the workplace for all employees. - Design and execute employee engagement, wellness, and learning programs. - Lead internal communication and reinforce cultural values.⚖️ Statutory Compliance & Policy Management- Ensure 100% compliance with Indian labour laws (PF, ESIC, gratuity, minimum wages, etc.). - Maintain updated HR policies, employee handbook, and ensure timely audits and filings. - Liaise with legal consultants for compliance-related risks or escalations.Industrial Relations (IR)- Maintain healthy labor relations with factory workers and floor staff through active dialogue and grievance redressal. - Coordinate with production teams and floor managers to resolve concerns before they escalate. - Manage union-related communication, if applicable, and maintain a harmonious working environment. - Ensure all statutory records and labor registers are maintained as per the Factories Act and Shops & Establishment Act.Culture Building & Great Place to Work (GPTW) Journey- Lead the strategic roadmap toward achieving Great Place to Work certification by Dec 2025. - Implement best practices in employee trust, transparency, fairness, and well-being. - Create internal campaigns and communication aligned to GPTW pillars.Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Talent Acquisition- Time-to-hireEmployee Retention & Well-being- Annual attrition 85%- Regular employee feedback loopsCompliance & Statutory- 100% statutory compliance- Zero audit observationsPerformance Management- 100% completion of appraisal cycles on time- Minimum 80% satisfaction with appraisal fairnessEngagement & Culture- Monthly engagement activities- Increase GPTW trust score by 20% by Q3 FY25Industrial Relations (IR)- Zero IR disruptions or escalations- Worker grievance resolution within 72 hoursHR Operations Efficiency- Onboarding NPS > 80- All records digitized & tracked via HRMSTeam Management- Development plans for HR team- Regular reviews & process ownership by HRMsQualifications & Experience- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably with exposure to both white-collar and blue-collar workforce. - Sound knowledge of Indian labor laws, IR protocols, and statutory norms. - Strong leadership and people management skills. - Prior experience in a manufacturing/factory-led environment is a plus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.What Success Looks Like- Alankaram is GPTW certified by December 2025 - Attrition is below industry benchmark (target - Compliant, audit-ready factory and office operations - Employees rate their experience 4.5+/5 on engagement metrics - Strong IR foundation with proactive communication on the shop floor
