Position : “Technical Writer” Location : Coimbatore Reports to : DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Qualification : Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any discipline from humanities, sciences/engineering Experience : 4-8 YEARS experience in Content writing, Technical documentation No of Position : 1 (one) Objectives of this role ● Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards ● Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content ● Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success ● Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement.Responsibilities ● Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with software development and product management teams to understand Product requirements ● Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation ● Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration ● Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation.Preferred skills and qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Humanities / communications, or relevant technical field ● Firm understanding of SDLC (Software development lifecycle) and DDLC (Document Development Life Cycle) ● Previous experience in software product development teams ● Experience in using any of Documentation Platforms, Markdown Language Tools ● Experience in creating marketing content such as demo scripts, brochures, and white papers ● Experience with creative writing is an added advantage.MUST HAVE SKILLS ● Good to have exposure to programming or Application Development ● Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for technical products like Spring, Java, Angular, and Bootstrap, ensuring ease of use for developers and end-users. ● Develop training materials, tutorials, and guides to effectively educate users on technical topics and product features. ● 4+ years of experience as an effective technical writer ● Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter ● Experience in writing Software product documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences ● Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail ● Good to have exposure to Programming or Application Development using Java. ● Ability to handle multiple products simultaneously.
