Job Position: Snowflake AdministratorWork Location: PAN, IN.Experience: -5+ to 10+ YearsResponsibilities:- Snowflake Instance Management:- Manage Snowflake account and ensure efficient configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Snowflake instances.- Create and manage Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles.- Administer user access controls and roles to ensure appropriate access levels.- Security and Data Governance:- Implement and manage data security policies, including encryption, access controls, and auditing.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations.- Collaborate with teams to establish best practices for data governance.- Performance Optimization:- Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.- Implement best practices for resource usage to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.- Tune queries and optimize data models to improve performance.- Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery:- Set up and manage Snowflake backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.- Ensure data integrity and disaster recovery plans are in place for business continuity.- Collaboration and Support:- Work closely with the data engineering, data science, and business intelligence teams to design, implement, and support Snowflake-based solutions.- Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Snowflake.- Continuous Improvement:- Stay up to date with Snowflake features, updates, and best practices.- Implement new features and tools to enhance the Snowflake environment.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.- Experience with Snowflake SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.- Familiarity with Snowflake's data sharing, data replication, and cloning features.- Experience with Snowflake security management, including role-based access control (RBAC).- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data integration tools.- Strong understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts and best practices.- Familiarity with tools like dbt, Talend, Apache Airflow, or similar for data orchestration.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
