Role: Automation Test EngineerRequired Technical Skill Set: Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber.Desired Experience Range: 3-10Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)● Proficient in Java for developing test scripts and frameworks.● Experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber and build tools like Maven or Gradle.● Familiarity with Git for version control and Jenkins or GitLab CI for continuous integration and deployment.● Strong foundation in manual testing methodologies to complement automation efforts.● Knowledge of RESTful API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured.● Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.● Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to align testing with development workflows.● Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.Good-to-Have- Develop scalable and maintainable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG. - Integrate frameworks with build tools like Maven or Gradle and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI. - Create comprehensive automated test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. - Ensure scripts are reusable and adhere to coding standards for maintainability. - Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. - Participate in Agile ceremonies to align testing activities with development cycles
