Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Compensation and Benefits to develop and manage our global total rewards strategy, with a specific focus on manufacturing sector needs. The role encompasses designing compensation frameworks, benefits programs, implementing HRMS platforms, overseeing international payroll operations, and conducting salary benchmarking across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands-on execution capabilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Compensation Strategy & Design Develop and maintain comprehensive compensation structures across job levels and geographies, ensuring competitiveness and internal equity. Lead compensation planning cycles including salary reviews, performance-based increments, promotions, and incentive payouts. Align compensation strategies with workforce planning and business objectives, especially in manufacturing operations and plant setups. Benefits Management Design and manage employee benefits programs tailored for manufacturing environments, including health insurance, shift allowances, accident coverage, and statutory benefits. Review and benchmark benefits across locations to ensure cost efficiency and employee satisfaction. Partner with brokers and vendors for plan renewals, claims handling, and employee education. Global Payroll Oversight Oversee domestic and overseas payroll processing in collaboration with local HR and finance teams. Ensure compliance with country-specific tax regulations, social security contributions, and statutory requirements. Implement controls and audit mechanisms to ensure payroll accuracy and confidentiality. HRMS Implementation & Automation Lead or support end-to-end implementation of HRMS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday) for compensation, benefits, and payroll modules. Drive automation of compensation-related workflows and reporting for HR, Finance, and business units. Manage vendor coordination, system testing, UAT, go-live readiness, and post-implementation support. Salary Benchmarking & Analytics Conduct global and local market benchmarking using sources like Mercer, WTW, Aon, and in-house data. Recommend changes to pay ranges and compensation structures based on market competitiveness and internal parity. Use analytics to generate insights on compensation trends, attrition risk, and pay equity. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead a team of compensation and benefits professionals across multiple plant and corporate locations. Act as an advisor to HR Business Partners, Plant Heads, and Finance leaders on compensation-related matters. Provide guidance to leadership on job evaluations, international assignments, and cross-border reward strategies. Qualifications & Skills: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). 10–15 years of experience in HR with a core focus on Compensation & Benefits in manufacturing or industrial companies. Experience managing payroll across multiple countries or regions. Proven track record in HRMS implementation and optimization. Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills; experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau is advantageous. Deep knowledge of labor laws, wage regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements for both domestic and international locations. Excellent communication, stakeholder influencing, and project management abilities. Preferred Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) – preferred. HRMS Certifications (e.g., SAP, Workday, Oracle) – desirable. Payroll compliance training or certifications related to international payroll is a plus.
