Job Description

Job Responsibilities1. Strategy & Planning Develop and implement comprehensive social media and digital communication strategies in line with the university’s brand and academic mission. Create content calendars and digital marketing plans for institutional campaigns, admissions, events, and research highlights. 2. Content Creation & Management Design, write, and produce engaging content (text, graphics, video, stories) for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and others. Maintain and update the university website and microsites in coordination with the web development team. 3. Campaigns & Promotions Plan and execute paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) to support student recruitment, academic initiatives, and brand-building. Promote university events, webinars, conferences, achievements, and media mentions effectively online. 4. Analytics & Performance Tracking Monitor and analyze platform metrics, engagement, reach, and campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc. Prepare monthly performance reports and use insights to refine strategies. 5. Community Engagement Interact with followers, respond to queries/comments, and foster an online community of students, faculty, and alumni. Collaborate with internal departments, student clubs, and faculty to source authentic and timely content. 6. Crisis & Reputation Management Monitor online sentiment and manage digital reputation during public events or crises. Coordinate responses in alignment with university leadership.Qualifications & Skills: Education: Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in higher education, ed-tech, or corporate communications. Technical & Soft Skills: Strong knowledge of social platforms, SEO/SEM, CMS tools, and analytics dashboards. Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English essential; Hindi/regional languages desirable). Creative, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Desirable Attributes: Passion for education, youth engagement, and technology. Strong understanding of higher education landscape in India.
