Our key geographical operations are in India, Africa, and East Asia.Who should apply?A minimum of 4+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the solar energy sector.A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving consistent revenue growth.Strong understanding of the Indian solar energy landscape, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with PSU, consumer, and industrial clients. Understand their solar energy needs and preferences.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ambitious sales targets.Identify and cultivate relationships with high-potential clients across residential, C&I, and ground-mounted projects.Represent Tropical Solar at industry events and conferences.Collaborate with technical teams to develop and present customized solar solutions that meet client requirements.Work closely with project management teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.Manage and mentor a team of junior business development representatives.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the solar energy sector.Conduct quality checks and site visits during installation, ensuring safety and adherence to project standards.Ensure accurate data maintenance and reporting of sales activities.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.Job Specifications:Technical Skills: CRM/ERP, Calendar Management, MS Office/Google Suite.In-depth knowledge of various solar mounting systems (rooftop, ground-mount) is required.Soft Skills: Conversational Skills, Documentation & Presentation, Teamwork, Organization & Analysis, Time Management & Multitasking, Learning & Articulation, Attention to Detail.Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy is preferredStrong understanding of solar technologies, project development, construction processes, utility interconnection, and city permitting.What to sell?
