Why This Role MattersCosy places living farm units inside societies, cafes, and stores, bringing fresh, hyper-local greens to people where they live and eat. To make this possible, we need someone who can own the science and systems behind it.As the Agronomist, you’ll lead how and what we grow. From crop planning to quality control, you’ll build a foundation for consistent, scalable farming across the city. This is a technical, operational, and creative role. The work you do will directly shape how cities experience food.What You’ll OwnCrop strategy from seed to harvest: Plan and manage crop cycles across all Cosy units. Select varieties, set schedules, and ensure reliable output.Health of every Cosy plant: Monitor and maintain crop health, across nutrients, environment, and pests. Identify problems early and resolve them quickly.Experiment and improve: Run trials for new crops, nutrient mixes, and growing methods. Document what works and refine our playbook over time.Build supply resilience: Source and manage seeds, nutrients, and substrates. Set up vendor relationships that can scale with us.Support day-to-day operations: Create clear SOPs for crop care and harvesting. Help design systems that are easy to operate, even by non-experts.What We’re Looking ForMust-havesBackground in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or Controlled Environment AgricultureExperience with hydroponics or vertical farmingAbility to manage crop cycles and troubleshoot technical issuesHigh attention to detail and personal ownershipComfortable working across both field and system-level challengesNice-to-havesExperience managing distributed grow systemsFamiliarity with agri-tech tools (sensors, monitoring systems)Worked with chefs, food operators, or retail partnersWho You AreYou care about plants, but more than that, you care about how people experience food.
