This position requires editing approximately 20,000 words per day across a mix of news and evergreen content. The ideal candidate is a sharp editor who can polish writing, enhance clarity, ensure factual accuracy, and maintain FandomWire’s engaging and concise editorial tone.Key Responsibilities:Edit and proofread a daily quota of 20,000 words consisting of entertainment and anime news, features, and evergreen content.Ensure articles are grammatically sound, structurally coherent, and SEO-optimized.Maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice as per FandomWire’s editorial guidelines.Fact-check and correct inaccuracies while ensuring content is up-to-date and credible.Collaborate with writers to provide constructive feedback and improve overall content quality.Coordinate with content strategists and editorial heads to prioritize daily and weekly editorial tasks.Requirements:2+ years of experience editing content for digital publications, preferably in the entertainment/anime niche.Strong command of the English language, grammar, and AP-style or similar editorial standards.Deep understanding of Hollywood, TV, anime, and pop culture trends.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily editing goals.Familiarity with SEO practices, readability standards, and WordPress (Block Editor experience is a plus).A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and overall storytelling quality.
