Job Description

Scope: Indian Payroll and AccountingCompensation: ₹6 LPA – ₹7 LPAJob Summary:As a Staff Accountant, you will be essential in ensuring our financial accuracy and integrity. Your duties will include monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, financial transaction recording, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and filing tax returns. You'll collaborate with various departments, assist with budgets and forecasts, and participate in special projects. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, along with strong analytical and communication skills, will be crucial in supporting our financial operations and organizational goals.Areas of Responsibility and Duties:Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliationsReconciling and posting merchant fee statementsReconciling 3rd party payment processorsFiling and recording documents and receiptsRecord financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of financial recordsPrepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statementsAssist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecastsMaintain fixed assets and amortize accrualsMonitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivablePrepare and file tax returns and other government reportsProvide financial analysis and reporting to management as neededAnalyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and significant changesConduct ratio analysis, trend analysis, and variance analysisCollaborate with departments to ensure policies are followed and questions are addressedParticipate in special projects as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent certificationAssociate degree in Accounting or Business fieldKnowledge of basic accounting principlesProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferredEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn and adapt to new software and tools1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (education or coursework may be accepted in lieu of experience)Key Competencies:Organized and detail-orientedStrong collaboration and teamworkAdaptable and flexibleAnalytical thinkingReliable and consistentAchievement and results orientedSelf-starter with initiativeGrowth and learning mindset
